Games Retro City Rampage The concept for the Retro city rampage came from a homebrew project that
began in 2002. In his spare time, game programmer Brian Provinciano
built its own Nintendo Entertainment System development kit and set
about remaking one of his favorite title, Grand Theft Auto III, with
8-bit sprite graphics, under the name Grand Theftendo.
In the 2011 Game
Developers Conference, he reveals methods, showing how, over the past
few years, he built an advanced software to help him overcome the
limitations of the hardware of the Nintendo Entertainment System, but
later shifted to the development PC.
At one point in the process, he began to add characters and locations
from the other games he enjoys from his childhood. It ultimately
inspired him to work on the project full time, but instead of using
scenarios from GTA III, he decided to create an entirely new game with
original content in 2007, which will be released as a downloadable title
for the console.
He uses a real-time map editor to adjust and debug on
the fly, and also integrated some of the suggestions of the playtesters.
For most projects, it works completely independent on design, coding
and art. Later in development, he employed a pixel artist to help with
the visual design of the game and go through revisions.

He also brought in three renowned videogame composers, Leonard "FreakyDNA" Paul, Jake "Virt" Kaufman and Matt "Norrin Radd" Creamer, to create chiptune songs for the game's soundtrack. Provinciano stated that the game contains roughly two and a half hours of chiptune music. On February 22, 2012, the Retro City Rampage soundtrack was released on Bandcamp.The game pays tribute to many titles through its storytelling, levels and character abilities, such as Super Mario Bros The Legend of Zelda, Mega Man, Contra and Bionic Commando, among others.
The game also pays tribute to "cheesy" one-liners, television shows and pop culture, as well as cameos including Phil Fish (creator of Fez), Billy Campbell, and Phil Guerrero (of YTV fame). Provinciano later altered the parodied images to avoid copyright issues and obtained permission to use the likenesses of the aforementioned cameos.

In the town of Theftropolis, 'The Player', a thug to rentals, decided to get a job as a henchman of a big crime syndicate led by Jester. Three years later, during a bank heist gone wrong, the player goes to a phone booth time travel, that he decided to steal from it's owner. Stan flings him indefinite numbers forward in time to the year 20XX unspecified future.
On arrival, the booth was damaged and a man named 'Doc Choc' arrived in vehicles look familiar and take him and Stan in, believing the player to become the hero of time travel. Players should work with Doc Choc to put together part needed to fix the rare time booth, while avoiding his ex-law enforcement, Jester, and Dr. Von Buttnik, Doc Choc rivals.

The game is inspired by Rockstar Games's Grand Theft Auto, in which
players can complete various missions in a great city that is open to
explore. There will be approximately 50 mission story and challenges 30
levels in total. the Gameplay elements along with a broad range of
armaments including GTA, other stores, the ability to hijack the
vehicle, and the ability to attract the attention of the police with
violence and destruction.
As a tribute to the many 8-bit videogame, Retro city rampage combines
design elements from many different genres. Although it is mainly played
from the viewpoint of summarizing it top-down, in some specific parts,
it can switch to a perspective which is really two dimensions in 2D
platformer style. This game also has 16 graphics filter that simulates a
variety of retro computer and console games.
The game also includes a free Roaming mode, to freely explore the city
and causing chaos as much as you can. This Mode can also be played with
the open character of the indie game developed other: such as Super meat
Boy, Commander Video from serial bits. Trip, Splosion man and Nn. Splosion man, Steve of Minecraft and more.
