Tekken Tag Tournament : being a non-canon game, features are not
the story. This is more of a compilation of the tekken series giving
fans the opportunity to play as almost every character in the series up
to that time, including many of those who seem to have been lost in the
main tekken story.
Of all the returning characters, kazuya mishima is
the most heavily promoted, since he displays prominently on the game's
cover art and promotional ' material, despite his absence from the
previous definitions of the tekken series (he would return in tekken 4).
When finished, an arcade mode ends real-time shown above creditnya for
the main character (i.e. the first character you selected when choosing
both fighters). Exceptions to this are known ' ending, which is the fmv.
Continue the battle mechanics of Tekken 3, Tekken Tag to see players who
fought in teams of two characters. At any point in the game, the player
can press the button tag to swap with their other fighter combat,
allowing the rest to recover some of the lost health. Tags can be
implemented in many ways, such as between a combo or take advantage of
special throw. At times when a fighter breaks the blinking, characters
can be marked on the given encouragement while in power. Unlike other
games such as tag Capcom vs. series, the player is defeated when only
one of their fighters lost all their health, requiring the player to be
strategic about tagging their fighters. In case of timeout, the team
with the most accumulative health wins the round.

The game features more than 35 characters who previously appeared in
Tekken 2 and Tekken 3. In addition, there is a boss character, unknown,
similar to Tekken 3 Mokujin at which he can mimic fighting style at
random any character, though she is able to change the style at any time
during the war. The PlayStation 2 version added improved graphics and a
variety of modes, including mode 1-on-1, in which the player only
choose one fighter each, and team battle, where players choose battles
up to eight and playing with the rules of tags, with each new character
to replace one that has been defeated (remaining fighters have to
fight/itself). Also shown is the ' Tekken Bowl mode, a game of mini
bowling which each character has different attributes.

As a game created to be a compilation of previous games, game covers
virtually every character from the original Tekken to Tekken 3,
including those who lost current canonical canonical games Tekken 3,
such as Baek Doo San, Jun Kazama, and Bruce Irvin. All these characters
are given increased moveset and animation to make them on par with the
current character.
In addition, the game adds two new characters, all of whom became
characters mimic: Tetsujin, a metallic version of Mokujin, and unknown,
mysterious woman who is controlled by the ' devil ' Forests that also
serves as the final boss of the game. Although the game has ever
featured in Tetsujin Tekken, known to appear in the sequel of this game,
Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Only the absent character in the game who
played in previous entries from the original series, Jack, King, Kuma
SR., Marshall Law, Dr. Boskonovitch and Gon. Boskonovitch, however, make
a cameo appearance in Tekken Bowl mode as the audience.
